Less Total Fat and Cholesterol
Nutrients such as total fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol are a potential concern for some customers. Bison has about 40% less total fat and 50 less calories per 100g serving compared to grass-fed beef.

More Iron
Bison is a great source of iron (bison liver is even better!). This is a mineral of interest for consumers with low iron/anemia and for women during pregnancy. Ground bison is an option for first food for babies around 6 months or more to maintain adequate iron levels.

Vitamin D
Not presented in the chart, but interesting to mention is the noteworthy difference in the vitamin D levels of pasture-raised animals versus animals in confinement. This is a coveted nutrient we lack in the Northeast, especially in the winter. Consider these benefits when purchasing our meat; a true investment in your personal healthcare and your local landscape.
